While I was thinking about my running goals for 2018 I was watching a sports center special. It highlighted a guy that was working on completing a list of 100 things that he thought would bring him happiness. A few years into his quest he started working on the 26th item on his list and he said that was when his whole life changed. Number 26 was to help a stranger and he ended up helping a guy that was in a wheelchair run a 1/2 Marathon. This hit home with me and got me thinking what I could do as a runner to give back and make a difference. I expect this list to evolve, but I’m going to start putting together my list and see what I can do to give back to the sport that I love.

2 Run for a cause
3 Volunteer at a race
4 Help Someone get a PR
5 Host a Couch to 5K program
6 Run a shoe drive
7 Plan a fun run
8 Use the Charity Miles app
9 Try to include my children in running
10 Help!!!! I need some suggestions
